We’re delighted to announce that independent veterinary group, Donaldson’s Vets, is the latest sponsor to join our highly anticipated art trail, which launches to the public on Friday 2nd September.
With practices across Kirklees and surrounding areas, Donaldson’s Vets provides round-the-clock care for local, domestic and agricultural animals. The company has selected artwork from Kim Onyskiw for its Snowdog design, which adeptly features animals that can be found in the local area from dogs and birds through to cows and rabbits. Essentially a trail within a trail, it is hoped that the design, called ‘Spotter’, will encourage families with young children to find these animals and learn more about the incredible variety of wildlife that Kirklees has to offer.
Organised by The Kirkwood in partnership with Wild in Art and Snowman Enterprises Ltd, Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees will be a free large scale art event and will show off the very best creative talent from local, regional and national artists. As part of this one of a kind public art event in West Yorkshire, businesses are being given the opportunity to sponsor one of the individually designed Snowdog sculptures. This presents businesses with a unique and exciting way to promote their business throughout the local area.
The trail will help raise awareness and essential funds for The Kirkwood as they continue their work to help and support those living with a life limiting illness in Kirklees, while encouraging visitors from far and wide to explore new parts of our region.
