A Wild in Art event brought to you by The Kirkwood.

Reliance Precision strengthens local awareness by becoming latest Snowdog sculpture sponsor

Reliance Precision is the latest local business to stand proud alongside The Kirkwood to support the charity’s much anticipated Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees art trail, which will see up to sixty Snowdog sculptures appear across our towns and villages this Autumn.

Inspired by the much-loved animated film, The Snowman™ and The Snowdog, the sequel to Raymond Briggs’ classic picture book and film The Snowman™, Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees will bring the magic of The Snowdog character to life through an extraordinary public art trail.

Based in Lepton, Reliance Precision is a family-owned business with decades of experience in providing high reliability, precision instrumentation to customers from a diverse range of global markets.

As a local business in an area supported by the life changing work of The Kirkwood, Reliance Precision was quick to join the pack and get involved in this one-of-a-kind local event.

Ian Walter, Group Finance Director at Reliance Precision, comments: “The Kirkwood is such an important local organisation, supporting our community at home and in the hospice, which is why were keen to support them by sponsoring a Snowdog. The art trail is set to be a fantastic event that the whole community can enjoy and one which we look forward to being part of.”

Reliance will be joining The Kirkwood and the rest of the corporate sponsors at an art selection event on Thursday 3rd March, where businesses and organisations which are sponsoring a large sculpture will get the chance to preview the array of designs available for them to use on their Snowdog. Each design on show has been uniquely created by local and national artists through their very own creative impressions.

Organised by The Kirkwood in partnership with Wild in Art and Snowman Enterprises Ltd, Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees will be a free large scale art event and will show off the very best creative talent from local, regional and national artists. As part of this one-of-a-kind public art event in West Yorkshire, businesses are being given the opportunity to sponsor one of the individually designed Snowdog sculptures. This presents businesses with a unique and exciting way to promote their business throughout the local area.

The trail will help raise awareness and essential funds for The Kirkwood as they continue their work to help and support those living with a life limiting illness in Kirklees, while encouraging visitors from far and wide to explore new parts of our region.

Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees will launch in September 2022.
