If you haven’t heard the news already, a pack of exquisitely decorated Snowdogs will be welcomed here in Kirklees this Autumn, as part of a magical art event for thousands of visitors to enjoy. While we’re busy working behind the scenes to make this event the best it can be, we really need your help to make it a success from start to finish.
We’re looking for a team of enthusiastic, go-getting volunteers to help us bring the event to life across the eight-week period. Whilst our Snowdog sculptures are set to headline the show, our brilliant team and volunteers are essential to bringing the magic to life.
Sound like something you could help us with? If yes, we’d love to hear from you. There are a huge range of opportunities you can get involved with – from distributing trail maps to helping with sculpture installations or working with schools and businesses who are interested in supporting the trail. We’ll also need some dedicated ‘groomers’ to keep our Snowdogs looking their best throughout the campaign, so sponges at the ready!
Snowdogs Support Life, Kirklees officially launches to the public on September 1st and will run for eight weeks, but we will also be looking for volunteers to help us out pre and post event, with any volunteering work built around busy schedules.
To register you interest please complete the application form here on our volunteer page and a member of our team will get back to you shortly. With support from volunteers like yourself, The Kirkwood are able to continue our work and support those in our community who need us the most.
Got a special skill we should know about? Be sure to let us know on your form. We’re always looking for people with wonderful talents to assist in our projects! Whether you know your way around a camera, have excellent people skills or have lots of useful connections in the community, let us know and we can try to tailor your volunteer role around your expertise.
